The main benefits for Air Berlin passengers will be the transfer connections at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, which is also the central hub for JetBlue’s flight operations. Air Berlin flies to New York twice a day from Dusseldorf and once a day from Berlin. Air Berlin connects Dusseldorf with Orlando (5x week) and Boston (7x week). The cooperation of both airlines will also include the frequent flyer programs in the future. JetBlue was founded in 2000 as a low-cost carrier and is currently the 6th-largest carrier in the United States. The airline operates over 1000 flights per day with a fleet of 230 aircraft including 40 Airbus A321, 130 Airbus A320 and 60 Embraer E190. The entire fleet is equipped with Wi-Fi.
