The newly formed carrier announced additional frequencies in its long-haul network over the course of the upcoming winter schedule flight plan. In June this year, the carrier announced its intent to serve Bangkok and Delhi. Now, weeks later Air Italy announced the expansion of the frequencies.

Neil Mills, Air Italy Chief Operating Officer commented: “Just shortly after releasing the inventory for Bangkok and Delhi, thanks to the market demand, we are delighted to now increase the frequencies on both routes in advance of their inaugural flights.”

Flights between Milan and Bangkok will commence on September 9, 2018. The frequencies will rise from 4 to 5 weekly flights. Operating days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The carrier will use its A330-200 aircraft for the route.

The Delhi flights will start on October 28, 2018 and are seeing increased frequencies from five to six times weekly. Air Italy will connect Milan with the Capital of Thailand on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Furthermore, Air Italy has also opened up seats on its Miami route, that was initially launched on June 8, 2018.

Mills added: “We are also opening up our winter inventory for our Milan-Miami flights as we are already running at a load factor of over 80%. These expansions are a testament to our business plan and product offering and are simply a response to the great support which we have been receiving from our customers.”

Passengers will benefit from using seamless connections between intercontinental destinations and destinations like Rome-Fiumicino, Naples, Olbia, Lamezia Terme, Catania or Palermo.

All long-haul flights will be operated by the carrier´s recently added Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The aircraft can accommodate 252 passengers in a two-class configuration, 24 in Business Class and 228 in Economy Class.
