Airlines Cello Aviation ceases operations

Cello Aviation has stated, that it had to cease trading as of October 12, 2018.

The private charter airline operated flights since 2009 and has now ceased its operations. The cease of trading is with immediate effect. In its past, Cello Aviation primarily operated private and VIP charters.

On its website, Cello Aviation wrote: “It is with great regret that Cello Aviation has ceased trading as of 12/10/2018. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our customers and suppliers.”

Its fleet consisted of one ARJ-100 registered as G-RAJJ and a sole Boeing 737-300 registered as G-RAJG. The aircraft were specially configured for VIP services, but were also used for wet least and full charter flights. The ARJ-100 was recently in use with French low-cost carrier HOP!.

Cello Aviation held an Air Operator´s Certificate (AOC) from the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Its operational base was located at Birmingham International Airport in the UK. Cello Aviation was a wholly owned subsidiary of UK´s Gill Group.
