Airlines Condor and LaudaMotion announce partnership
Germany’s leisure carrier Condor has announced to sell flight tickets of the Niki successor Laudamotion.
On its website, Condor will sell short- and medium-haul flights from Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Basel to Balearic destinations like Mallorca and Ibiza and to Malaga on the Spanish mainland.
"We are delighted to support Laudamotion in marketing their new flights”, said Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor Airlines. "The extended choice of flights we can offer to our customers and distribution partners is great for our customers."
Niki Lauda underlined: "I have great expectations on the partnership with Condor. We bring a little Austrian charm to Germany and our passengers benefit from a more flexible and wider choice of flights to the most beautiful holiday destinations in the Mediterranean. Especially in summer, travelers will benefit from a wide and differentiated offer. Laudamotion will set trends with its special spirit and excellent on board service.”
Laudamotion will offer 56 weekly connections for Condor. In addition to the marketing of Laudamotion flights, Condor will also take over selected operational functions, including traffic control and crew planning as a service provider for Laudamotion.
Niki Lauda had acquired the former Air Berlin subsidiary Niki in January. The carrier plans to recommence operations with 15 Airbus aircraft in the next months. Earlier this week, German media reported, Laudamotion could operate flights on behalf of Lufthansa’s low-cost subsidiary Eurowings. The management with Niki Lauda seems to focus on a new strategy which includes wet-lease and charter operations to leisure destinations for other European carriers.
