Airlines Delta retires last Boeing 747-400

Delta Air Lines has retired its last Boeing 747-400. At Pinal Air Park in Marana (AZ), the aircraft lines up with several other retired 747s.

The last ever passenger Boeing 747, operated by an U.S. airline, has been flown to Marana, Arizona for retirement. Delta Air LinesĀ“ N674US has been in the air for over 18 years and flew for Northwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines. MSN30269 was the 1232th 747 off the line. On board on flight DL9771 was a group of Delta employees and reporters.

The successor of the 747 has already arrived: In June 2017, Delta took delivery of its first A350-900. To date, Delta already operates with 6 Airbus A350s.

Delta Air Lines is an American airline, headquartered at Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta, Georgia. The airline operates with a fleet of over 850 aircraft on over 5400 daily flights. Recently, Delta has ordered 100 Airbus A321neo aircraft.
