Airlines Emirates announces codeshare agreement with Jetstar Pacific

Emirates Airline has announced that it has entered into a codeshare agreement with carrier Jetstar Pacific.

Over the course of the codeshare agreement, especially routes from Dubai to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi will enable better connectivity for both airline´s passengers. Emirates and Jetstar Group have already been working together in the past years.

The new codeshare service will enable faster and easier connections to domestic routes within Vietnam. Moreover, especially Emirates passengers can profit from additional opportunities to connect from Vietnam to cities like Singapore, Australia and Thailand.

From Ho Chi Minh City, Emirates passengers can connect to 16 Vietnamese cities, while six domestic destinations can be reached from Hanoi. The UAE carrier has also stated, that it will operate codeshare flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore and Bangkok.

With the agreement, Emirates will place its flight number on respective Jetstar Pacific services. Passengers will be able to connect seamlessly between incoming Dubai flights and Vietnamese domestic and international routes, and vice versa. Applicable flights with Jetstar can be booked via the Emirates booking mask, enabling the passenger an easier way of purchasing tickets. Moreover, checked luggage will be transferred directly to the codeshare destination.

Emirates is an airline based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It operates with a long-haul aircraft fleet of 104 Airbus A380s and 149 Boeing 777s. 13 B77F belong to subsidiary airline Emirates Cargo. Emirates serves 86 countries and 161 destinations.

Jetstar Pacific is a low-cost airline headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City. The carrier is part of the Jetstar Group and commenced operations in April 1991. Its fleet currently exists of 17 Airbus A320 aircraft, with which the carrier flies to 32 destinations in eight countries.
