CS-TST and CS-TSU have been operated by Hainan Airlines before the Chinese operator removed the aircraft from its fleet. Euro Atlantic transferred the aircraft after acquisition to Atitech at Naples International Airport. Here, the aircraft will receive maintenance, repair and overhaul over the course of a C-Check. A new In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system will be installed as well. CS-TSV will be the third new Boeing 767-300ER for Euro Atlantic and is expected to be ferried from Beijing to Naples in the coming days.

Furthermore, CS-TST will wear special stickers, as the carrier celebrates 25 years of operations this year. Over this course, Euro Atlantic will change the cockpit uniforms, which now reflect the brand´s colours and highlight the project´s evolution.

Chairman of Euro Atlantic Airways, Tomaz Metello, said: “When I acquired shareholder control of the company (100%), I told my team the goals and targets, we have sold the oldest fleet and replaced them with more modern aircraft that can ensure intensive operations with lower maintenance costs. The arrival of these Boeing B767-300ER that used to belong to Hainan Airways, a TAP Air Portugal shareholder will ensure we can fulfil our contracts over the coming years and foresee the acquisition of new models. US manufacturer Boeing is still on our radar but we are also looking at European builder Airbus in the future if it offers better cost/benefit options and we will take our structural decisions accordingly. We want to have a euroAtlantic that is consolidated for the next 25 years.”

With the newer aircraft, Euro Atlantic seeks to enhance its services and to secure more highly-qualified jobs to bring bigger benefits to the Portuguese economy.

Euro Atlantic Airways offers ACMI-wet leases, dry leases, Ad-hoc leases to airlines who for example struggle with missing capacity. Euro Atlantic flies for airlines such as TAP Portugal, Air France, TAAG Angola, Norwegian or British Airways. Its fleet consists of one Boeing 777-200ER, six Boeing 767-300ER, one Boeing 767ER BSDF freighter and one Boeing 737-800. The operator is headquartered at Lisbon Airport, Portugal.
