Airlines Frontier announces Summer 2021 flight schedule

American low-fare airline Frontier has released its plans for the upcoming Summer schedule 2021. The carrier intends to open eight new nonstop routes and to add three new holiday destinations. The announcement represents the airline´s intention to expand its network even in these times.

Frontier will add three new destinations to its route network. Starting this Summer, the airline will operate to Nassau, The Bahamas, San Jose in Costa Rica and to St. Maarten. All of these three routes will be served from Miami International Airport, from which the airline will also take off to Myrtle Beach.

From Orlando International Airport, Frontier Airlines will resume operations to St. Maarten and San Jose, while a new route will be opened between Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport and Cancun. Last but not least, the airline will also fly between Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.

“We’re delighted to add eight new routes this summer and expand Frontier’s international network with three new destinations: Nassau, San Jose and St. Maarten, in the same week that we added Guatemala City and San Salvador to our network,” Biffle concluded.

Most of the flights will be operated between two times weekly and up to four times a week. Even though travel restrictions are still in place as of now, the airline hopes that the situation could be calmer when Summer arrives and more people have been vaccinated.

Last month, the carrier announced its initial public offering price. The carrier plans to offer 15 million initial shares of common stock by Frontier and 15 million shares to be sold by certain of Frontier´s existing stockholders.

Frontier is an American ultra Low-Cost carrier that has its headquarters located at Denver, Colorado. The airline was founded in 1994 and commenced operations in the same year. The carrier has installed several operational focus cities throughout the U.S.

Currently, the fleet consists of over 100 aircraft. Frontier Airlines is operating with an all-Airbus aircraft fleet, of which three are A319s, 82 are A320s and 21 are A321s. Of the 82 A320s, 21 are the new state-of-the-art A320neo variant.
