The business-class airline took delivery of its first Airbus A321neo from Airbus´ plant at Hamburg-Finkenwerder. Days after, the airline performed its first transatlantic flight between Paris Orly Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport.

The morning flights from Paris Orly will arrive into Newark at 13:00, while the returning flight will depart New York at 19:00 and arrive at Paris at 08:40 the following day. With the A321, La Compagnie can seat more passengers than with its current aircraft fleet.

The A321neo is on lease from company GECAS and is being powered by CFM International 1A new generation engines. A business class only cabin has been installed, which can accommodate up to 76 passengers. Every seat features a full-flat seat and a high level of connectivity.

Regarding the new product, Jean Charles Périno, EVP of Sales and Marketing for La Compagnie, said in February: “The decision to offer every passenger free and unlimited access to the internet was obvious.”  [...] “We want our passengers to experience the internet just like they do at home or in the office. Our mission is to make business-class more accessible to everyone at the most attractive fare.”

La Compagnie has two new A321neo aircraft on order and will furthermore showcase its newest fleet member on the 2019 Paris Air Show. Currently, the fleet consists of two Boeing 757-200, which will be replaced by the new A321neo in due time. The first 757 is set to leave the fleet in September, while the other aircraft will be kept.

This means, that the Boutique airline will introduce more departures and landings in general. This expansion course represents the demand in this growing market. In 2018, La Compagnie flew 63,500 passengers with a total load factor of 80%.

La Compagnie was launched five years ago in 2014. The airline offers exclusive business-class flights between New York and Paris. Renowned New York and Paris based chefs offer a fresh menu during the flight and Wi-Fi will be available for every passenger.
