Airlines Norwegian Air Argentina receives AOC

Low-cost airline Norwegian Air Argentina (NAA) got its Air Operator´s Certificate (AOC) granted by the Argentine Government. The airline plans to serve around 152 routes in Argentina and South America.

With the AOC received, Norwegian Air Argentina is now eligible to start commercial flight operations. The certificate indicates that, in accordance with the Argentinian law, all quality and safety standards are being adhered to.

Norwegian Air Argentina is a 100% subsidiary of the European low-cost carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle. NAA was set up in March 2017 and is allowed to fly to 152 routes. 72 of them will be served within Argentina, while 80 are international flights throughout the continent.

We also thank the director of the National Administration of Civil Aviation, Tomás Insausti and all his team for their professionalism and dedication. Now we will focus on starting to offer safe flights and affordable fares to millions of passengers soon, as well as job creation and contributing to the stimulation of the local economy”.

Operational base of the airline will be at Buenos Aires. NAA will commence operations with 10 Boeing 737-800s. The aircraft will share the same branding as the Norwegian Group. Moreover, Norwegian Air UK will start flight services between London and Buenos Aires with Boeing 787-9. This will enable passengers to use connection flights.

This is great news that shows that we are getting closer to the start of our operations in Argentina with our safe, efficient and friendly service”.
