The parties have agreed on the scope of their co-operation and experience sharing in many areas, from operational safety, development of new products and services for passengers, customer experience and airport infrastructure improvements to airport development projects and modern trends in digitalization. The parties have also agreed to regular meetings of their representatives during which experience and inspiration will be shared. In addition, the partnership of the two airports will also support the growth of regular scheduled connections between the Czech Republic and South Korea.

President and CEO of Incheon International Airport, Dr. Il-Young Chung, mentioned: “As the aviation demand at Václav Havel Airport Prague is expected to grow continuously, the MOU between our two airports will be of great help in our aviation network expansion. We will continue to establish strategic partnerships with East European airports that have much growth potential, and equip Incheon International Airport with differentiated hub competitiveness.”

Beside the two airports, major airlines from both countries are co-operating: Korean Airlines has acquired 44% of Czech Airlines in 2013 and since then, Czech Airlines operates flights to Seoul with a leased A330 from Korean Airlines. However, Korean Air announced to sell its stake in the Czech carrier in 2017. Korean Airlines still connects its hub Seoul Incheon International Airport with Prague.
