Hanse-Aerospace Wirtschaftsdienst GmbH Team members of the DIGICOR project meet at the FIA in Farnborough
The partners Hanse-Aerospace, Control2K and ICE of the DIGICOR team met on Tuesday and Wednesday this week for a workshop at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) (16.-20.07.2018).
The partners discussed the possibilities for testing the new technology platform DIGICOR under real conditions. Valuable information from suppliers from the Hanse-Aerospace Association and external experts could be taken into account. The defined workflows for the technology platform to be developed were discussed and approved from the perspective of the companies. Subsequently, coordination with the other project partners is to take place in the next joint workshop, so that the activities for the validation of the results can start. In the DIGICOR project, 11 partners from 6 European countries are working together to develop a technology platform within three years that will enable SMEs in particular to integrate quickly into production networks and the supply chains of major manufacturers. The special features of aviation are taken into account, as are the requirements of other industries. For example, an automotive cluster from Wales is represented in the team, as is a robot manufacturer from Italy. 2 universities ensure that the current state of the art in science and technology is integrated into the project work. The DIGICOR project is funded by the EU Framework Programme Horizon 2020 and will run until September 2019.
