After freighter conversion in 2017, the airframe operated cargo flights for Atlas Air and has now been transferred to Amazon Air as Atlas Air´s twentieth aircraft to join the Prime Air fleet.

William J. Flynn, President and Chief Executive Officer at Atlas Air said: “Our delivery of 20 aircraft to Amazon over the last 28 months is a significant achievement [...] It is an accomplishment that we are very proud of and for which our employees worked hard. We appreciate Amazon's confidence in our capabilities, global scale and operating excellence.”

“E-commerce is the fastest growing air cargo segment, and we are excited to continue our partnership with Amazon as it delivers innovative service to its customers,” Flynn added.

Back in 2016, Atlas Air Worldwide and Amazon agreed on a long-term commercial agreement that Atlas Air will operate the aircraft on a CMI basis. CMI stands for crew, maintenance and insurance. Titan Aviation, the leasing unit from Atlas Air dry leases the aircraft to Amazon.
