Freight Cargojet announces new services to South America and Europe

Canadian Cargojet has announced to open new international cargo routes to South America and Europe, starting in February 2018.

With Boeing 767-300F aircraft, the cargo operator will perform a route from Hamilton (Canada) to Bogota (Colombia) and Lima (Peru) via Atlanta. This service is scheduled for every Friday and Sunday. Another added route will be from Hamilton to Cologne, which will be flown on Saturdays.

The new routes will be active from 2nd February 2018 onward.

In November 2017, Cargojet announced to end the cooperation with Air Canada Cargo by the end of the year.

Virmani, CEO of Cargojet said: “Cargojet will offer a premium air cargo service directly to global freight forwarders, interline airline partners and other users of international air cargo services [...] Our recent presence in these markets has led to increased demand for our services and allows us to continue to optimize our overall freighter aircraft utilization and expand our range of services and customer base”

Cargojet is a Canadian headquartered cargo operator, with its operational base in Hamilton.  According to Cargojet, every business night over 1,300,000 pounds of cargo are being transported. The fleet consists of six Boeing 757-200F freighters, 9 Boeing 767-300F freighters and one Boeing 767-200F freighter.
