A delivery ceremony was held at Airbus´ facilities in Toulouse, France. The UK-based carrier Acropolis Aviation took delivery of the aircraft and ferried it to Basel, where the aircraft is set to receive cabin-outfitting done by Swiss company AMAC.

After the cabin is outfitted, the ACJ320neo will feature a VVIP cabin that was designed by Alberto Pinto. Moreover, the carrier will replace the current Airbus Corporate Jet livery wit Acropolis Aviation´s house colours. Soon, the aircraft will take to the skies for VIP transport missions around the world.

ACJ President Benoit Defforge commented: “Delivery of the first ACJ320neo is the latest milestone in the roll-out of a completely new ACJ Family, enabling even more of the comfort, range and value prized by business jet customers.”

New generation engines and sharklets will allow Acropolis Aviation to use the ACJ320neo in the most efficient way. Compared to older aircraft, the A320neo Family delivers more than 15% in fuel savings.

With the ACJ320neo, Acropolis Aviation hopes to acquire new customers and markets. Compared to the normal A320neo Family, the ACJ version includes a cargo hold that was reinforced by Airbus to carry Additional Centre Tanks (ACTs). These additional tanks allow operators like Acropolis to serve intercontinental flights. Moreover, the ACJ320neo also features built-in airstairs and a lower cabin altitude for passenger comfort.

Airbus´ ACJ320 Family consists of the ACJ319neo and the ACJ320neo. While the ACJ319neo can transport a total of eight passengers for 6,750nm (12,500km), the ACJ320neo can accommodate up to 25 passengers on flights that are up to 6,000nm (11,100km) long.

In addition to the ACJ320 Family, Airbus also offers VIP wide-body jets. The ACJ programme includes the ACJ350XWB and the ACJ330neo aircraft, two state-of-the-art airliner that could be well suited for the VIP market. To date, Airbus Corporate Jets has delivered 190 aircraft to customers around the world.

Based at Farnborough Airport, Acropolis Aviation is a luxury charter aviation operator. Currently, the fleet consists of one A319 ACJ, which initially entered service in March 2010, and one ACJ320neo. Acropolis is well-known for good service in the high-end charter market.
