General Aviation Beechcraft King Air 260 and 360 achieve ANAC certification

Textron Aviation has announced, that its Beechcraft King Air 260 and 360 have achieved type certificates in Brazil.

General Aviation brand Beechcraft has achieved the type certificates in Brazil for its King Air 260 and King Air 360 turboprop aircraft, as reported by Textron Aviation. The country´s aviation authority ANAC (National Civil Aviation Authority of Brazil) has issued the certificates.

This latest achievement now enables the manufacturer to proceed with the first deliveries of the aircraft types to customers in the country. The two aircraft are the newest twin-turboprop models of the manufacturer and deliveries are set to begin in this quarter.

Marcelo Moreira, vice president of Sales, Latin America, commented: “The Beechcraft King Air´s operational versatility is its key selling point in Brazil and around the globe […] The King Air is a high-performance turboprop that can operate in almost any environment, from large metropolitan airports to short unprepared strips, which is why the aircraft is so popular in this region of the world.”

“The Beechcraft reputation for quality and robustness, along with the combination of efficiency and advanced technology in the cockpit and cabin, ensure the latest King Air models meet nearly all of the needs of an owner with one aircraft,” Moreira added.

Currently, in Brazil there are around 500 King Air turboprops registered at various operators. Outside of the United States, the country has the second-largest active fleet of King Air aircraft. This latest certification is a milestone of the manufacturer in this important market.

The King Air 260 and the King Air 360 and 360ER are the latest iteration of Textron Aviation´s popular Beechcraft turboprop products. Latest technological advancements have been implemented into the cockpit and the cabin.

Beechcraft is one of the leading manufacturers for turboprop aircraft. The company is a brand of Textron Aviation. Since 1964, nearly 7.600 Beechcraft King Air turboprops have been delivered to customers across the world.
