The aircraft manufacturer will focus on the production of the new G500 business jet.

“For the past 12 years, the G450 has been one of the best-selling business jets in the industry, beloved by pilots and passengers alike for its technological advances, smooth handling, impressive range and unsurpassed passenger comfort,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream.

More than 360 G450 have been delivered to customers since it entered into service in 2005.

The Gulfstream G450 model has a seating capacity for up to 19 passengers and can fly up to 8000 kilometers. In a statement Gulfstream said, the delivered G450 jets have reached more than 964,000 flight hours and more than 461,000 flights.

The successor, the Gulfstream G500 is expected to receive the type certification in early 2018. Currently five G500 are undergoing flight testing. For June 2018 the manufacturer plans a world tour to promote the new jet. The G500 will stop in several cities, including Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Milan, Moscow, Beijing and Melbourne.
