Quest Aircraft has announced, that it will produce a successor of its popular Kodak 100 line. The Series II will feature several enhancements in comparison to the older model. 10 passengers can be accommodated in the aircraft, which is being powered by the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine.

Ex-factory, every aircraft comes with standard equipment like the Garmin G100NXi, Flight Stream 510, digital 4-in 1 standby, an Angle-of-Attack indexer and a two-year subscription to a Pilot App which has been developed by Garmin and Kodiak.

In the cockpit, Quest added better sun visors for UV protection, additional cockpit storage and LEMO plugs for hardwired Bose headsets. Moreover, the cargo doorstep has been redesigned to ensure improved functionality. Fuselage seals will provide better cabin ventilation and soundproofing. Customers can choose to add a single point refuelling station to the aircraft, which makes refuelling both wing tanks much easier.

Rob Wells, CEO of Quest Aircraft, said: “We’re incredibly proud to debut the Kodiak 100, Series II. The refinements and upgrades across the entire platform truly elevate the Kodiak experience, while continuing to deliver the distinctive design and workmanship we’re known for.”

The Kodiak 100 Series II can take-off in under 1000ft at a full take-off weight of 7255lbs. Climb rate can be up to 1300ft per minute. The aircraft can now be ordered, and customer deliveries are already underway said Quest.

“We dedicate an immense amount of time and resources into yearly model improvements, and we’re incredibly proud of what ten years’ worth of continual refinement has led to. With the announcement of the Series II we’re honouring that legacy of consistent improvement by introducing the largest and most significant block change in the Kodiak’s history,” Wells added.

To ensure, that all security requirements will be achieved, the aircraft underwent several tests. Since its introduction in 2008, the Kodiak 100 has experienced over 200 enhancements, including two entirely new interiors, increased landing weight and new avionics.
