General Aviation Sundt Air orders two Beechcraft King Air 350C for Ministry of Health of Greece

Textron Aviation has released, that Sundt Air has signed a purchase deal for two Beechcraft King Air 350C aircraft.

Sundt Air has awarded Textron Aviation with a purchase contract that sees the manufacturer to deliver two Beechcraft King Air 350C turboprop aircraft to the operator. Sundt Air will operate air ambulance and medevac missions on behalf of the Ministry of Health of Greece.

The operator is owned by the Ministry and the Hellenic Air Force will take over maintenance works, if needed. Moreover, the Air Force will use the aircraft in support of disaster relief, medical rescue, inter-hospital transfer and repatriation to mainland health care services.

A special cargo door and a Spectrum Aeromed dual stretcher system has been installed on board the King Air 350C. This system includes stretchers to accommodate bariatric patients. Other features are on-board oxygen and medical cabinets. To simplify work on board, overhead lightning, adjustable seats and stowaway tables are integrated in the cabin. It allows medical staff and passengers to experience a comfortable environment.

The King Air 350C is a variant of the King Air 350i twin-engine turboprop aircraft that includes an optional cargo door. The aircraft is being powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-60A engines. State-of-the-art digital avionics and touchscreen controls have been installed on the flight deck.

The Ministry of Health of Greece has also opted for Textron Aviation´s ProAdvantage program, which covers the costs for maintenance work on an hourly rate.

Textron Aviation has been working with various governments and ministries to enhance their mission capabilities. Textron´s aircraft are used for air ambulance, ISR, utility transport, inspection, training, aerial survey and other missions.
