New production Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft will be having new standard and optional equipment. State-of-the-art avionics will help pilots to better their situational awareness and will eventually make flying safer.

“Today, new and experienced pilots alike continue to rely on our renowned Cessna and Beechcraft pistons to experience the joy of flight first-hand,” said Christopher Crow, vice president, Piston Sales. “We’re thrilled to once again elevate the capabilities of these aircraft and connect the next generation of aviators with the latest technology and equipment needed to fly with added confidence, ease and control.”

The features include the Garmin G1000 NXi next-generation flight deck, which provides pilots with better connectivity and improved control in the cockpit. The Garmin GMA 1360 audio panels will be installed in the Cessna and Beechcraft platforms. They offer the capability to link portable electronic devices via Bluetooth to the flight deck.

For 2019 production Cessna Turbo Stationair HD, Cessna Skylane, Beechcraft Bonanza G36 and Beechcraft Baron G58 aircraft, a new GFC 700 Autopilot will be installed. This new suite contains a better Automatic Flight Control System (E-AFCS). This system is optional for coming Cessna Skyhawk aircraft as well.

E-AFCS makes sure, that automated features will help to maintain an optimal flight envelope. Moreover, the pilot workload will lead to better situational awareness. Main features of E-AFCS are Electronic Stability and Protection (ESP) with auto-level functions, Coupled Go-Around and Underspeed Protection (USP).

Furthermore, Baron G58 aircraft are likely to be equipped with Garmin´s latest GWX 75 Doppler weather radar. This radar provides crew with on-board weather information. Pilots can choose to display the weather on a new individual display in the cockpit.

Regarding additional features, Textron Aviation wrote: "Other optional features for all Cessna and Beechcraft pistons include Garmin GSR 56 Iridium satellite receiver, which provides near worldwide access to downlink weather services and allows pilots to make voice calls and send text messages. A subscription service is available through Garmin and can be customized based on need."

Textron Aviation is a leading general aviation company from the United States. It incorporates brands like Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker. To date, the company has delivered more than 250,000 aircraft.
