Helicopters Airbus wins new orders for ACH130 Aston Martin Edition helicopter
Airbus Helicopters has received new orders for its ACH130 Aston Martin Edition helicopter.
Aircraft manufacturer Airbus´ subsidiary, Airbus Helicopters, has announced, that customers from three continents have placed firm orders for the ACH130 Aston Martin Edition helicopter since its launch earlier this year.
Over the coming months, Airbus will celebrate the Entry Into Service (EIS) of the aircraft in Latin America, North America and Asia Pacific. The orders represent the demand for this very special helicopter.
Frédéric Lemos, Head of ACH, confirmed: “We are delighted with the market reaction to this superb new helicopter. These orders across the world, clearly demonstrate the excitement generated by our collaboration with Aston Martin.”
In January this year, Airbus Helicopters announced the ACH130 Aston Martin Edition helicopter, which is based on the light utility helicopter ACH130 but features a wide range of interior and exterior designs created by Aston Martin.
Launch customer of the helicopter will be an existing Airbus customer in New Zealand, who plans to use the aircraft for VIP charter operations in the country. The second operator to take delivery of the ACH130 Aston Martin Edition will be a VIP customer in Guatemala, Latin America.
Recently, another undisclosed private operator from Canada has ordered the third example, which will be completed by Airbus´ employees in the UK, from where the aircraft will then be delivered to the Airbus customer center in Fort Erie, Canada.
Regarding this collaboration, Airbus stated: "The aeronautical designers at Airbus Corporate Helicopters (ACH) and the automotive designers at Aston Martin worked closely together for over a year, marrying ACH’s key values of excellence, quality and service with Aston Martin’s commitment to beauty, handcrafting and automotive art to bring a new level of aesthetics and rigorous attention to detail to the single-engine helicopter market."
