Helicopters AW169 enters Swiss VIP Transport Market with the first order

Mountain Flyers of Switzerland will use the aircraft from Bern Airport. A purchase deal was signed during an official ceremony held at the 18th European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition EBACE in Geneva (Switzerland).

The purchase marks the entry of the new generation AW169 helicopter into the Swiss VIP market. To date, there are 20 Leonardo VIP helicopters in the country. The order underlines Mountain Flyer´s ambitions to grow in the Swiss VIP market.

Leonardo´s AW169 is specially-configured and can accommodate 7 passengers in a VIP transport layout. Mountain Flyers will use the aircraft for Helitaxi from Bern Airport. The operator will be able to serve several domestic routes in Switzerland and Europe, using the aircraft´s longer range and greater capacity.

Its customers will benefit from the aircraft´s good comfort, performance and technology. The light intermediate twin engine helicopter features state-of-the-art safety features.

Overall, Leonardo said, that it has sold more than 180 AW169´s to 70 customers in 30 nations worldwide.
