Helicopters Leonardo grows in Indonesia
An undisclosed Indonesian customer has ordered two AW169 for corporate transport roles.
The helicopters, marking the type entrance in the market, are planned to be delivered by the end of 2018. The new order has been announced during the Singapore Air Show 2018.
Additionally, due to the upcoming deliveries of one additional AW139 to be operated by Travira for offshore operations and two AW119Kx for firefighting and medevac to NUH, Leonardo further expands its presence in the country with a fleet growth of 100% in the last 3 years.
The AugustaWestland AW169 is a twin-engine, 10-seat helicopter which is produced since 2015. The medium-sized helicopter is used for VIP services as well as ambulance and off shore duties. Over 25 helicopters have been delivered since the production stated in 2015.
