Helicopters Milestone Aviation leases four S-92 helicopters

The acquisition of these aircraft expands Milestone’s owned and debt financed fleet of S-92 helicopters to over 95 — more than one third of all S-92 aircraft in operation globally. The helicopters are used for offshore oil and gas transportation as well as search and rescue operations.

Milestone Aviation Group is one of the world’s largest helicopter leasing and financing companies with a fleet worth over $4.0 billion plus a loan portfolio and debit commitments of approximately $400 million. According to its website, the company supports over 37 customers in more than 30 countries serving a variety of industries, including offshore oil and gas, search and rescue, emergency medical services, police surveillance, mining and other utility missions.

The Sikorsky S-92 is a medium-lift helicopter with a maximum capacity for up to 19 passengers. Since its introduction in 2004, Sikorsky has produced over 200 S-92.
