Helicopters Rheinland Air Service appointed as first Bell 505 dealer in Germany

Bell Textron has appointed Rheinland Air Service GmbH (RAS) as first Germany dealer for the Bell 505 helicopter.

Textron Aviation company Bell has announced, that it has appointed the first Bell 505 helicopter dealer in Germany in Rheinland Air Service GmbH. The company has 50 years of business aviation experience and is a provider of aviation sales and services.

RAS is located in Mönchengradbach in North Rhine-Westphalia and will now be home to the first ever Bell 505 dealership. The company is furthermore expanding its footprint in the aviation branch, as it is currently employing 250 people in Europe and Africa.

Johannes Graf von Schaesberg, CEO, RAS commented on the new partnership: “We are proud to be part of the Bell family and represent the German market with this high performing aircraft. The Bell 505 is an incredible helicopter, and we see a huge potential for our German customers [...] The cooperation between Bell and RAS is our long-term vision to expand the German market for the Bell brand.”

By establishing this new dealership of the popular Bell 505 helicopter, Bell is providing its customers in Germany and the surrounding countries with a complete solution. Patrick Moulay, Senior Vice President International Business, noticed: “With its team’s experience in aviation and excellent reputation, we believe RAS is the best launch partner for the first 505 dealership.”

RAS was established in 1972 and is offering services like aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), plus aircraft sales, support, and fueling. For commercial airlines, the company is offering a full range of EASA and FAA certified maintenance and was the first ATR maintenance network partner in Europe.

The Bell 505 is a new aircraft in the company´s portfolio that is very popular among private charters, medical evacuation operators or corporate executives. It is a light single-engine helicopter that is being equipped with a dual-challenge FADEC engine and a G100H all glass flight deck.

Bell Helicopters has been in the helicopter market for more than 80 years and is headquartered in Forth Worth, Texas. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Textron Inc. and has locations around the globe.
