The announcement was made during the China International Import Expo in Shanghai. Sino-US´ latest order strengthens the collaboration between the two companies in China. In recent years, Sino signed contracts for 34 AW199Kx, 24 AW139s and 25 AW109 Trekker helicopters.

Sino-US will use the aircraft for Emergency Medical Service (EMS) missions in China. The aircraft are planned to be delivered between 2019 and 2021 and will be operated by Kingwing General Aviation.

In addition, Leonardo and Sino-US have also signed a Heads of Agreement (HoA), which will see Sino become the exclusive distributor of Leonardo helicopters in the Chinese helicopter market. The long term relationship aims at delivering 160 aircraft between 2019 and 2023. Back in 2013, Sino-US and Leonardo first started their collaboration.
