This achievement was reached in a record time of less than two years. The milestone represents the successful integration of the carrier´s fleet into the Thailand market.

TAS has also prognosticated, that it will reach the flight of its 100,000 S-76D passenger later this fall.

Audrey Brady, Sikorsky vice president of Commercial Systems & Services said: “We genuinely value the trust and confidence Thai Aviation Services has demonstrated in Sikorsky products over the past three decades [...] Sikorsky is extremely proud to provide TAS with safe, reliable aircraft to support such a high operational tempo with first-rate availability.”

A few months ago, Sikorsky opened the first Customer Support Center in Thailand, with TAS being the first customer for the manufacturer´s programme.

TAS is currently operating a fleet of eight Sikorsky helicopters, including two S-92 heavy lift helicopters, one S-76C++ and five S-76D medium-lift helicopters. The operator is using the aircraft for gas and oil producing companies.

To date, Sikorsky delivered more than 875 helicopters of the S-76 series around the world. The majority of flight hours – reflecting in 65 percent of the 7.25 million flight hours in total – was performed during offshore oil transportation missions. Moreover, the S-76 is being used for utility missions and VIP transportations. SAR missions and helicopter air ambulance missions can be conducted with the aircraft as well.

Thai Aviation Services is a privately-owned operator from Thailand. In the past 30 years, the carrier has provided oil and gas companies throughout the region. Over 70 pilots and 60 aircraft engineers support the fleet of eight Sikorsky aircraft in the fleet.
