The world’s largest fair for aircraft interiors will open its doors from Tuesday, 10.04 until Thursday 12.04.2018. Over 18000 visitors are expected in Hamburg in the next days. Several hundred exhibitors will show their new concepts for cabin interiors, in-flight entertainment, connectivity, passenger experience and passenger services. The AIX is part of the passenger experience week portfolio, hosting the Passenger Experience Conference and co-located with World Travel Catering & Onboard Services and Passenger Technology Solutions.

For the 12th time, the Crystal Cabin Award will award innovative aircraft interior concepts. The award is presented in eight different categories like cabin concepts, material and components and visionary concepts.

Some major companies have already announced some highlights; they plan to showcase at this year’s AIX:

Europe’s aircraft manufacturer Airbus has announced to showcase a A320 cabin mock-up providing an overview on the latest solutions for in-service single-aisle fleets, as well as its latest A330 cabin enablers for retrofit.

The turboprop manufacturer ATR will show its Neo Classic and Neo Prestige seats as well as the new Cabinstream In-Flight Entertainment system which will give operators the option of introducing wireless connectivity into the ATR cabin.

Lufthansa Technik has announced to show its new “lease your cabin” concept, which should enable airlines to lease entire cabin layouts for their aircraft.
