Industry BOC Aviation orders 80 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft

Aircraft operating lessor BOC Aviation has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for 80 A320 Family aircraft.

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has announced the first larger aircraft order for this year. Global leasing company BOC Aviation has signed a firm agreement for 80 A320neo Family aircraft. The order includes 10 A321XLR, 50 A321neo and 20 A320neo.

With this latest agreement, BOC Aviation´s orderbook with Airbus now stands at 453 aircraft in total from the A320neo Family as well as from widebodies like the A330 and A350. The commitment shows, that BOC sees strong future demand for single-aisle aircraft.

Airbus´ A320neo Family is the most popular aircraft family on the market. To date, Airbus has received nearly 8000 orders from around 130 customers. The A320neo is the newer version of the A320 and is equipped with aerodynamically advanced Sharklets and new state-of-the-art high-bypass ratio engines.

The A320neo celebrated entry into service six year ago and since then, Airbus has delivered more than 2100 aircraft from its production lines across the globe. The largest final assembly line is located at Hamburg-Finkenwerder in Germany.
