Industry Boeing announces $1 billion service orders

Boeing has announced service orders valued more than $900 million from several airlines at the Singapore Air Show 2018.

The agreements, which have been announced during the Singapore Air Show 2018, include services for parts, engineering, modifications and maintenance as well as digital aviation and analytics, training and professional services.

“Boeing is serious about helping customers optimize the performance of their fleets and reduce operational costs throughout the lifecycle,” said Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing Global Services. “Predicted growth for aerospace services in the Asia Pacific brings opportunities to partner with local industry to understand the region’s greatest needs, invest in new capabilities to meet those needs, and then bring them to market quickly.”

The US aircraft manufacturer has announced several service agreements. Beside regional agreements with companies in the Asian area, several worldwide agreements were confirmed.

Among others, regional agreements were signed with All Nippon Airways (landing gears for B787), GAMECO, Malaysia Airlines (landing gears for B737), Singapore Airlines (Electronic Logbook for B777/787) and Royal Brunei Airlines (Overhead flight crew rest retrofit for B787).

Worldwide agreements were signed with Alaska Airlines, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, DHL, Lufthansa Group, Parker Aerospace, Tianjin Air Capital and Tunisair.
