Industry Brendan Curran new president of Boeing AvionX

AvionX was formed last year aiming at the development and production of avionics and electronic systems. The newly appointed president of AvionX, Brendan Curran, joins Boeing from Crane Co.

AvionX is a Boeing business unit formed las year. It is focused on the development and production of avionics systems for navigation, flight controls and information systems. Located in Plano, Texas, AvionX will research in-production and aftermarket opportunities. Brendan Curran will lead the research organization, Boeing announced.

Curran formerly was vice president of Business Development, Strategy and Partnerships for commercial engines at Pratt & Whitney, before that headed of Repair and Supply Chain for Hamilton Sundstrand, a U.S. technology company, and now joins Boeing from Crane Co., where he served as president of the Aerospace & Electronics Group. He looks back on more than 20 years of experience in aerospace industry leadership.

Brendan Curran will work to further develop the company’s aftermarket strategy and support the advancement of overall capabilities of the Boeing AvionX organisation.
