With TAP Express, KLM and Air Montenegro, three new airlines have entered manufacturer Embraer´s pool programme. Additionally, EmbraerX has signed with Republic Airways for the usage of maintenance coordination programme Beacon.

All deals were signed during the MRO Europe, an aeronautical maintenance event.

KLM Cityhopper will have its E195-E2 fleet covered with the agreement. The carrier took delivery of its first of 25 E2s at the beginning of this year and has since then added three more. With the agreement, KLM benefits from the manufacturer’s service network, repair tools and the spare part tool.

"This contract is a great endorsement from KLM Cityhopper and continues Embraer’s success in providing comprehensive support and services for E2 customers," stated Johann Bordais, President & CEO, Embraer Services & Support.

Air Montenegro signed the pool program agreement with Embraer for their E195s. The carrier is currently having two of such in the flight, while one is in service and the other parked. Both aircraft are used and were delivered to the carrier this year. A third E195 is expected to join soon.

Third carrier to sign a pool agreement with Embraer at MRO Europe is Portuguese carrier TAP Express. The regional subsidiary of TAP Air Portugal signed for a renewal of the program. TAP has been a partner with Embraer since 1998 and added E-Jets to its fleet in 2016.

"Over the years, Embraer's support has proven to be of tremendous value to our operation. Having Embraer at our side gives us the peace of mind of being able to focus only on day-to-day operations in order to offer passengers our best service," explained Valter Fernandes, Managing Director of TAP express.

Lastly, EmbraerX was able to announce a multi-year agreement with Republic Airways for the use of the maintenance coordination platform from Beacon. The platform will support the carrier in maintenance operations, digital transformation, and smoother operations.

Republic Airways became launch customer in the commercial aviation segment in the US for Beacon in January 2020 and both parties now seek to deepen that relationship. The carrier operates with an fleet of more than 220 aircraft, making it one of the largest US-regional carriers.

"We are very proud of expanding our relationship with Republic to build a strong case of the minutes saved per case, the overall time saved in out-of-service delays, identify new use cases, and leverage operations-centric insights to support leaders in making sharp business decisions on a daily basis," said Marco Aurelio Cesarino, Head of Beacon.
