Industry 777 Partners purchases 30 additional 737 MAX aircraft

Investment company 777 Partners has signed a purchase agreement with Boeing over 30 737 MAX aircraft.

After having ordered 38 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft this year already, investment company 777 Partners has signed a new purchase deal with Boeing. This time, the company seeks to take over 30 aircraft, consisting of the 737 MAX 8 and the 737-8-200.

It is the fourth order from 777 Partners this year, with the largest dating back to March 2021, when the company signed for 24 737 MAX 8. This latest order underlines the continuous commitment from 777 to strengthen its aircraft portfolio.

The order is valued at approximately 3.7 billion USD, according to current list prices. Now, 777 Partners has a 737 MAX backlog of 68 aircraft. Especially the 737-8-200, a version of the MAX for single-class dense seating configuration, will add new features the company´s aircraft portfolio.

Josh Wander, managing partner of 777 Partner, confirmed: "We have long been confident in the economics of the 737 MAX Family, but we are especially excited about the 737-8-200 variant which represents the bulk of our additional orders. We're confident that this aircraft will be the hallmark ULCC/LCC asset, particularly in the sub-200 seat market. As travel demand returns, 777 has accelerated our quest for efficiencies in both operating cost and carbon footprint at our operating carriers. In these areas the 737-8 is compelling and the 737-8-200 is simply unrivalled."

777 Partners is based in Miami, Florida, and strategically invests in a host of aviation businesses. The company seeks to gain new customers in the passenger airline sector with this latest purchase. Target of the company is it, to create new commerce channels for its airline investments and customers.
