Industry Widerøe and Lufthansa sign codeshare agreement
Norwegian regional airline Widerøe has announced that it has signed a codeshare agreement with Germany’s largest airline Lufthansa.
Widerøe and Lufthansa will connect each other’s networks through a new codeshare agreement. Customers can now fly on 11 of Widerøe’s routes and use the global route network of Lufthansa with a single ticket. The flights include routes from Bergen, Trondheim and Tromsø. The codeshare agreement will be affective from the 1st of September 2024.
Lufthansa will place its airline code on following flights. From Bergen to: Kristiansand (KRS), Stavanger (SVG), Haugesund (HAU), Florø (FRO), Ålesund (AES), Molde (MOL), Kristiansund (KSU), Trondheim (TRD), Bodø (BOO), Tromsø (TOS), München/Tyskland (MUC) and Brussel/Belgia (BRU). Furthermore, from Trondheim to: Bodø (BOO) and Ålesund (AES), from Tromsø to: Bodø (BOO), Hammerfest (HFT) and Alta (ALF).
With the codeshare on flights to Munich and Brussels, two main operational hubs of Lufthansa Group, customers will be able to use Lufthansa’s network of 250 desintations and Brussels Airlines’ gateway to destinations throughout Africa. The agreement makes it possible to connect a domestic Widerøe flight with one of Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines or Brussels Airlines.

Now, with Widerøe, we can offer Lufthansa tickets to many more regional and smaller airports throughout Norway”

The codeshare agreement enables Lufthansa's customers to travel seamlessly domestically and internationally when booking flights to and from our unique and popular destinations.
