Tourism-group FLC said, that the A321neo will fit the Bamboo Airways´ fleeting requirements. According to media, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed for 24 Airbus A321neo aircraft. Deliveries will be from 2022 to 2025.

In a report, Trinh Van Quyet, chairman of FLC said: "After studying and scrutinizing the options, FLC Group and Bamboo Airways have decided to order 24 aircraft from Airbus for Bamboo Airways until 2025. After commissioning and testing in terms of performance, we will also consider further expansion options."

An option may be a further deal for 24 A321, but then for Airbus´ A321LR (longer-range) version.

However, the airline is still awaiting its operating licence from the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport. As concerns were raised due to the difficult infrastructural system in Vietnam, Bamboo Airways said, that it will concentrate on secondary airfields.

Bamboo Airlines will offer flights to Vietnamese holiday destinations, such as Quang Ninh, Haiphong, Qui Nhon, Thanh Hoa, Nha Trang Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc. In addition, it will also offer domestic flights like: Hai Phong - Qui Nhon, Thanh Hoa - Phu Quoc, Thanh Hoa - Qui Nhon and Thanh Hoa - Nha Trang.

The A321neo is the latest addition to the A320neo Family and can accommodate up to 220 passengers.
