The carrier plans to connect its hub Larnaca Airport with Athens, Munich, Prague, Stuttgart, Verona and Zurich.

“Following 6 months of successful operation, we are absolutely delighted to introduce 6 new destinations on our network. We continually monitor our route network and feel that these destinations will be a popular choice for local travelers, while at the same time contribute in the increase of tourists visiting Cyprus” stated Natalia Popova, CEO of Cyprus Airways.

First flights are scheduled for March 2018.

Cyprus Airway is a Cyprus-based start-up carrier that won a competition for the rights of the trademark of the former Cyprus Airways for ten years. The carrier is partly owned by the Russian S7 Airlines (40%) and operates a fleet of one Airbus A319 with 144 seats. After the bankruptcy of the former Cyprus Airways in January 2015 the start-ups Cyprus Airways and Cobalt Air try to fill the gap of the former flag carrier. Cobalt Air commenced operations in 2016 and operates a fleet of six Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
