Uganda Airlines ordered new aircraft from Airbus and Bombardier at the Farnborough International Airshow 2018. The carrier hopes to start commercial passenger flights in the coming years.
Bamboo Airways has announced a commitment to buy 20 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. This new order for long-haul aircraft follows an agreement with Airbus to acquire 24 Airbus A321Neo.
Start-Up ultra-low-cost-carrier Swoop has announced, that it has received its Air Operator´s Certificate (AOC), which allows the airline to start operations this Summer.
According to a report in a local newspaper, the new airline is negotiating a joint venture with a major European airline and plans to launch first flights this summer.
In the second half of 2018, Swoop is planning to launch international operations. The Ultra-Low-Cost carrier eyes to commence domestic operations in June 2018.
