Start-Ups Young Malaysian start-up FlyGlobal plans to expand its fleet

The young Malaysian airline FlyGlobal, a Charter wet lease/ACMI operator, has announced plans to expand its existing fleet by up to ten Boeing 777-200ER by 2021. FlyGlobal’s CEO Shami Law stated the aircraft should be leased to different interested companies.

According to an article published by the South China Morning Post, China’s leading private courier SF Express has acquired two Boeing 747-400F aircraft via an online auction on Alibaba’s e-shopping platform Taobao, for a price of 322.8 million yuan, which is equal to approximately 49 million US-dollars.

47 years after the very first flight of the Boeing 747 for United Airlines from San Francisco to Honolulu, the airline recreated this event on November 7, 2017 for the very last flight if this type of aircraft. Freight Qatar Airways expands despite crisis
