Industry Embraer and American Airlines sign a contract for ten E175s

Embraer and American Airlines signed a firm order for ten E175 jets. American Airlines is exercising its purchase rights from its original contract with Embraer signed in 2013. This new order is in addition to the one placed in April for four aircraft. The contract is valued at USD 457 million, based on current list prices, and will be included in Embraer’s fourth-quarter backlog. Deliveries will begin in 2018 and continue through mid-2019.

Industry Embraer confirmed the delivery date of the first E190-E2 to Widerøe

The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer confirmed in Athens, Greece that the delivery of the first E190-E2 to Scandinavian regional airline Widerøe is scheduled for April 2018. During the annual general meeting of the European Regional Airline Association (ERA), Embraer announced the news and the plan of delivering the first new generation aircraft in early 2018. Widerøe’s E190-E2 will be configured with a single-class cabin with 114 seats.

General Aviation Embraer Business Jets Phenom 300, Legacy 450 and 500 to set new National Aeronautic Association speed record

In a press release, the Brazilian business jet manufacturer Embraer has announced that three of its aircraft, namely the Phenom 300, the Legacy 450 and the Legacy 500, have set new speed records. The certificates for those records have been officially awarded to Embraer by the US American National Aeronautic Association (NAA) in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 11, 2017 in the frameset of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) 2017 Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).
