Airbus Helicopters has announced, that the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has granted the type certificate for the H160 helicopters.
The first serial H160 helicopter has taken off for the first time. From the new assembly line in Marignane, the aircraft performed a demonstration flight.
Airbus Helicopters has stated, that it aims to focus on the wind turbine market growth, as the company sees strong demand over the upcoming decades.
The H160 prototype has landed in Las Vegas, presenting Airbus at the Heli-Expo 2018. Overall, the European manufacturer will present four prototypes to the public, including H160, H125, H135 and the H145.
Falcon Aviation and Airbus Helicopters have signed a new MoU at the Dubai Airshow expanding their commitment to the H160 adding three additional helicopters to the original Letter of Intent signed in May 2016.
