With the newly expanded cooperation, Air Mauritius will place its airline code as a codeshare partnership on Kenya Airways operated flights between Port Louis, capital of Mauritius, and Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Kenya Airways already uses the previous codeshare agreement to place its code on three weekly Air Mauritius flights between Nairobi and Mauritius.

Over the course of the cooperation, Kenya Airways has commenced flights to Mauritius in early June 2018.

Air Mauritius CEO, Somas Appavou said: “This agreement is in line with the country’s Vision 2030 and our network strategy to tap into the emerging opportunities in Africa.
