Airlines Belavia takes delivery of first Embraer E195-E2

Belarussian carrier Belavia has officially taken delivery of its first Embraer E195-E2 jet.

Belavia has taken delivery of its very first next-generation Embraer E195-E2 regional jet from the manufacturer´s facility in Brazil. It is the first of three aircraft to be leased to the Belarussian state-carrier from leasing company AerCap.

With the new aircraft, Belavia is able to expand its operations with a new operational performance. The carrier plans on employing the aircraft on routes to Amsterdam, London, Nur-Sultan, Munich, Paris, Barcelona or Sochi.

Belavia has configured its E2 with two classes that allows 125 passengers on board. 9 passengers can be seated in business class, while 116 passengers can be accommodated in economy class. The aircraft shows the commitment of the airline to grow its business and to modernize its fleet.

Anatoly Gusarov, CEO of JSC “Belavia“ confirmed: “Belavia’s passengers love our current Embraer aircraft and I hope they will love the next generation E2 even more. The E2 offers Belavia lower operating costs, as well as the lowest impact on the environment. At Belavia we like to keep our fleet young and fresh; with the addition of the E195-E2 we can take more passengers, further, in greater comfort, and more efficiently – the E2 is the perfect fit.”

Belavia is the national flag-carrier of Belarus and was founded in March 1996. The current fleet consists of 29 aircraft, including three Boeing 737-300s, four 737-500s, nine 737-800s, five Embraer ERJ-175s, seven ERJ-195s and the new E195-E2.
