Airlines Flybmi launches new e-commerce platform

BMI Regional has announced, that it has launched a new website to appeal both business and leisure markets. Moreover, the carrier has rebranded to flybmi.

British regional airline British Midland Regional Limited (flybmi) has announced, that it has launched a new e-commerce platform to attract both new leisure and business travellers.

Moreover, the carrier has decided to simplify the brand and logo by rebranding to become ‘flybmi’. The new name refers to the current name and the airlines´ visual identity. Previously, the carrier was known as ‘bmi Regional’.

The booking engine was developed by 2e Systems, a leading travel e-commerce solution provider from Germany. With the new engine, customers can more through the process of booking more easily and will experience a better visual design overall.

Flybmi Director Marketing & Customer, Antony Price added: “We have worked very hard to create an easy to use website working equally well on all user interfaces that appeals to both our corporate and leisure customers. We believe the new site does exactly that.”

Flybmi is a British regional airline, headquartered at East Midland Airport, UK. The carrier has operational hubs at Munich and Brussels and was founded back in May 1087. Its fleet consists of four Embraer 135s and 15 Embraer 145s. The carrier was previously a subsidiary of British Midland International (BMI), an airline, that was bought by Lufthansa for IAG in 2012.
