Airlines Small Planet Airlines obtains Cambodian AOC

Lithuanian leisure charter operator Small Planet Airlines has announced it has obtained the Cambodian Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and will now operate flights under LKH callsign, assigned by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Airlines First U.S.-built A320 Takes Flight

The first Airbus A320 aircraft to be produced at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama, has flown for the first time. The A320 took off from the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley on Thursday. The flight lasted approximately four hours, during which tests were performed on systems, engines and structural performance.

Airlines easyJet in talks with Air Berlin

Several newspaper report, British low-cost carrier easyJet is in talks to buy assets from insolvent German carrier Air Berlin. EasyJet declined to comment on this matter.

Airlines Etihad ends A340-500 operations

Etihad Airways has ended its A340-500 operations. Ch-Aviation reports the last jet was retired after its last flight on July 28. The aircraft was the last of three Airbus A340-500 in the Etihad fleet. All three aircraft were ferried to Spain for storage.

Romanian flag carrier TAROM has issued a request for proposal (RFP) to lease three widebody aircraft. In May, the Romanian transports minister, Razvan Cuc, announced that state-owned TAROM wants to acquire planes for flights to the US and China.

Airlines Lufthansa transfers five A380 from Frankfurt to Munich

Delta Air Lines and China Eastern Airlines have announced they have acquired separate 10% stakes in Air France-KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Group. The investments, which comes from new shares through capital increases, totals $875 million and will also provide Delta with a seat on the Air France-KLM Group’s board of directors.

Airlines Primera Air launches transatlantic low-cost flights in 2018

Primera Air, a subsidiary of Primera Travel Group, has announced it will launch transatlantic low-cost flights from three new European bases in 2018. The airline plans to connect the new bases in Birmingham, London Stansted and Paris Charles-de-Gaulle with Newark and Boston.
