Bombardier has released in a statement, that it will expand the service centre offerings for Challenger and Learjet customers in Biggin Hill and Berlin. An agreement was signed with StandardAero, which will see the customer experience for customers being enhanced.

Customers will especially be able to receive maintenance for engine and APU matters. Also, more repair and overhaul capabilities will be available at the two facilities near London and Berlin. Onsite, dedicated technicians from StandardAero will be available to create a one-stop-shop for all Bombardier aircraft operator´s service needs.

Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Executive Vice President, Services and Support, and Corporate Strategy, Bombardier, said: “Bombardier is committed to ensuring its customers receive exceptional service support to keep their aircraft in the air and this new collaboration leverages StandardAero’s industry-leading engine repair and overhaul maintenance capabilities with Bombardier’s own extensive support services onsite to create the ultimate one-stop-shop for our customers [...] Through this agreement, our operators will benefit from the unmatched expertise and proficiency provided by both Bombardier and StandardAero, delivering the service experience they demand and deserve.”

Tony Brancato, President, Business Aviation, StandardAero, added: “We are thrilled and proud to be working with Bombardier to enhance our maintenance offerings to customers and solidify our standing as one of business aviation’s leading engine MRO providers [...] This collaboration further underscores our commitment to customers by providing expanded services and ensuring we continue to enrich their overall maintenance experience.”

Especially, customers in European countries will now have a reduced peace of mind, as with new services, the downtime and costs could be reduced, while leveraging Bombardier´s knowledge as OEM.

The opportunity to work with Bombardier´s knowledge in bundling engine and APU maintenance with other services, provides customers with the flexibility to have one single proposal and project management of airframe, engine and APU requirements.

In January this year, Bombardier announced the acquisition of a new service centre in Berlin. The facility is located at Berlin Brandenburg Airport and is providing MRO services. Now, this facility will become even more crucial for the customer, as more services are being added.
