Gulfstream has earned the type certificate from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Now, the manufacturer is allowed to deliver the aircraft to customers in the European Union. Furthermore, aircraft can now be registered in the EU.

“The Gulfstream G600’s advanced technology, high-speed performance and unparalleled efficiency will serve the intercontinental European business traveler well,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “We are excited to get this aircraft in the hands of customers throughout the continent.”

In August last year, Gulfstream delivered the first G600. A month before, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granted the type certificate.

Back then, Mark Burns, stated: "We always strive to exceed our customers’ expectations, and our first G600 delivery is a prime example of that [...] The effort put forth by our team enabled this award-winning, technologically advanced aircraft to move from certified to delivered in an extremely short period of time. We are very proud of everyone who had a part in making this happen and keeping our promise to customers, as is a Gulfstream tradition, of a 2019 entry into service."

During the entire testing phase, the testbed aircraft flew nearly 100,00 hours in the labs and more than 3,200 hours in the air. Now with this latest type certificate by EASA, the manufacturer has gained the approvals of most large aviation authorities.

The G600 is capable of flying up to 6,500 nautical miles (12,038 km)
