NetJets signed an agreement for options to purchase 175 Cessna Citation Longitude aircraft and up to 150 Cessna Citation Hemisphere aircraft. The deal was announced during NBAA-BACE in Florida.

With all aircraft delivered, NetJet´s fleet of aircraft will increase to more than 800 aircraft. If the options are being converted into form orders, deliveries will be made over the next 10 to 15 years. NetJets has also the option to take the first deliveries of the Citation Longitude in the second half of 2019.

In addition, NetJets could become the launch customer of the Citation Hemisphere aircraft. Both the manufacturer and NetJets are working together on a version of the clean sheet aircraft to meet standards of NetJets owners. With Safran, the aircraft will be equipped with engines that will allow the aircraft to fly with greater speed and reliability.

Scott Donnelly, Chairman, President and CEO of Textron Inc. said: “We are proud to expand our relationship with NetJets once again through this significant milestone for the Citation Longitude and Citation Hemisphere [...] The Longitude fleet will build on the success NetJets has enjoyed with the Citation Latitude midsize jet."

Adam Johnson, NetJets Chairman and CEO added: “As we anticipate placing these orders, we look back to the first order we placed for the Citation Latitude back in 2015.  We have just placed an order for our 100th Latitude and, just as we did then, NetJets takes entering into this fleet agreement seriously, and we look forward to the day we can say we took delivery of our 175th Citation Longitude."

Johnson emphasized the good relationship with Textron Aviation and said, that he would look forward for the Hemisphere aircraft to become a new chapter in NetJets history. NetJets and Textron Aviation have been working together for more than 30 years. Over this period, NetJets has established a fleet of 500 Citation aircraft.

NetJets is a leading company in private aviation with headquarters in Columbus, United States. Currently, the operator flies with a fleet of 75 Citation Latitudes. Moreover, NetJets operates Citation Excel/XLS, Citation Sovereign and Citation X aircraft.
