Textron Aviation has unveiled the Cessna SkyCourier 408. The large-utility turboprop will enter service in 2020. As launch customer, FedEx Express has ordered 100 aircraft.
The California-based airline Surf Air has announced plans to open a new European base in the Jet Centre at London City Airport. Surf Air, which launched operations in the UK in June, will connect the City Airport with Zurich.
Textron Aviation has announced at Dubai Airshow that its subsidiary Cessna has begun delivery to Tuareg Aviation for 10 Cessna Grand Caravan EX turboprops. The aircraft will be operated by Mack Air Ltd to provide charter, cargo and logistic services between a network of independently owned bush safari lodges in the popular Okavango Delta and Kalahari Plains regions of Botswana. The aircraft will partially replace Mack Air’s current fleet, which currently also includes Grand Caravan turboprops.

General Aviation Embraer Business Jets Phenom 300, Legacy 450 and 500 to set new National Aeronautic Association speed record
In a press release, the Brazilian business jet manufacturer Embraer has announced that three of its aircraft, namely the Phenom 300, the Legacy 450 and the Legacy 500, have set new speed records. The certificates for those records have been officially awarded to Embraer by the US American National Aeronautic Association (NAA) in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 11, 2017 in the frameset of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) 2017 Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).
