Helicopters Bell delivers first three 505 Jet Ranger X helicopters to China

Bell Helicopters has delivered the first three Chinese 505 Jet Ranger X helicopters to customer Reignwood International Investment Group Company Ltd.

During a delivery ceremony held at Mirabel (Canada) to celebrate the company´s milestone, George Geng, President of Reignwood Zhuhai and Cynthia Garneau, President of Bell accomplished the delivery of China´s first three Bell 505 Jet Ranger Xs.

The delivery follows the recent certification of the Bell 505 by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

Reignwood International Investment Group Company Ltd. is the launch operator of the China destined Bell 505 and is also an authorized reseller in China for the aircraft. The delivery of the three aircraft is just the beginning, as Reignwood has ordered 110 aircraft in 2017.

Cynthia Garneau, president of Bell Canada, commented: “Our team in Mirabel is extremely proud to have built and to deliver the first aircraft to Reignwood [...] This is a very important milestone for Bell in Asia-Pacific and we are thrilled to contribute to the development of the commercial rotorcraft industry in China.”

Jacinto Monge, Bell managing director for North Asia, added: “The arrival of the new Bell 505 Jet Ranger X builds on the success of the renowned Jet Ranger legacy in China [...] We are excited that customers will now be able to experience the new Bell 505 Jet Ranger X and we are looking forward to seeing many more taking the skies as we continue to grow our footprint in China.”

Reignwood will use its Bell 505s for air medical, agriculture and air tourism missions respectively.

The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X is a single-engine helicopter that can accommodate up to five passengers. As the first helicopter in its class, the Bell 505 is equipped with the Garmin G1000H Integrated Avionics Suite, which provides critical flight information to maximize the pilot´s situational awareness.

Bell´s 505 was designed to accomplish and provide customer requested flexibility and configurations. The cargo hook can carry up to 2,000lbs. and the aircraft features water for firefighting missions as well.
