Helicopters China orders 26 AgustaWestland helicopters
Leonardo´s Sino-US has announced, that China has signed contracts for additional 26 helicopters.
On the Heli-Expo in Las Vegas, a deal for 26 new Leonardo helicopters was signed by Leonardo distributor Sino-US. The firm order includes 7 AW119Ks, 15 AW109 Trekker and 4 AW139 helicopters. According to current list prices, the contract is valued at 120 million euros. Deliveries are expected to start in 2018 and through to 2019.
In recent years, Sino-US has signed a series of contracts for Chinese EMS helicopters, including 25 AW119Kx. 2016, the operator bought a mix of 30 AW139s and AW169, while in 2017 they ordered 10 AW109 Trekkers.
The order underlines Leonardo´s presence at China, with more than 200 helicopters sold to customers from China. Especially EMS helicopters. In 2017, Leonardo delivered 30 helicopters in China, both to commercial and public customers.
Sino-US Intercontinental was established in 2006 and is an exclusive distributor for Leonardo Helicopters in the Chinese commercial and civil market. So far, Sino-US has signed deals for over 110 helicopters.
